Indonesian music sensation Sal Priadi delights Malaysian fans with a searing and memorable performance Zepp KL

KUALA LUMPUR: Sal Priadi promised his best. He gave more than that as the many fans at Zepp KL were left humming and even joining him in almost all his songs during his two-hour concert show at Zepp KL on Saturday.

The performance simply put was just superb and it was worth the effort for the fans to be at the venue for “SAL PRIADI ZUZUZAZA LIVE IN KUALA LUMPUR” show.

The talented singer, writer and actor from Malang, Indonesia, proved to music lovers just why he is so highly regarded all over the region. A all-in-one combo who strives to be better than expected as always been Sal.

Suffice to say the 2,500 fans who attended the concert were one happy bunch and many even chanted Sal's name asking more songs even after the encore.

Ahmad Jeffny, the chief executive of Kharisma Music, was elated with the show and said: "Sal gave a superb performance but the real winners were the fans. We thank all of them for the great support. If not for their enthusiasm, this concert would not have been a great success.

"I take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors who helped to ensure the success of this event."

A special mention also must be given to Malaysian songstress Sissy Imann who gave a brilliant opening act when she belted her 'Pesanan Ayahanda' for the enthusiastic fans.

Then entered Sal with his best songs ever which sent the fans into a frenzy as they sang along with the Indonesian star. Among the songs he belted out included ‘Semua Lagu Cinta’ followed by ‘Biar Jadi Urusanku’, ‘Dimana Alamatmu Sekarang’, and ‘Ada Titik-titik Di Ujung Doa’ all from his second album, Markers & Such Pens Flashdisks.

Then the singer upped the tempo when he belted ‘Mesra-mesraan Kecil-kecilan Dulu’, his biggest hit ‘Dari Planet Lain’, ‘Amin Paling Serius’ and his famous, ‘Gala Bunga Matahari’, which received thunderous applause and tears from the fans.

After the concert, Sal said: “Kuala Lumpur sangat istimewa bagi saya, saya berbesar hati dapat berkongsi muzik saya dengan peminat di sini, dan berterima kasih buat semua yang hadir dan anda semua hebat, memang ‘Dari Planet Lain’,” (KL is very special and very close to my heart. I'm so touched with the support I received here and I thank every single fan who took time to join me here. Really KL fans ' they are from a different planet'.")

In all, Sal belted out 40 songs throughput the night and promised that he will be back in KL for another performance in the near future.

Known for his poetic lyrics and enchanting song melodies, Sal always said he hopes to transport the audience on a thrilling emotional journey during his performances.

In 2018, the alternative-leaning singer surprised the industry with an AMI Award nomination for Best Male Pop Solo Performance, thanks to his second single "Ikat Aku Di Tulang Belikatmu" (Tie me to your shoulder blade). The following year, his collaboration with Nadin Amizah, "Amin Paling Serius" (Most serious amen), became one of the country’s biggest hits.

Last year, Sal, who is also an established actor, has said to be a truly a class of his own when it comes to his music, as written by many local media outlets in Indonesia.

The Jakarta Post, the leading English media outlet, in Indonesia said his second album was truly exceptional and reported that the result of his album is sweet, swoon-worthy and delightfully strange.

"The multifaceted artist’s sophomore album, ‘Markers And Such Pens Flashdisks’, is a romantic waltz between sweetness and strangeness" wrote Felix Martua (The Jakarta Post).

In fact, Sal also had performed at a showcase to promote his sophomore studio release in Malaysia. He also won many fans during that time.

But on Saturday, he upped the tempo and even won many admirers and surely his fans will be wanting for more when he arrives in KL once again.
