BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) responded to a critical request from Datin Paduka Dr Lim Meng Keang and the Paediatric Team at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital in August.

A two-month-old permanent resident, Arabella Gilvanni anak Zulhelmi, required urgent cardiac surgery in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

With the life-saving procedure funded by Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, RB sponsored the return airfares for Arabella Gilvanni, her mother and a nurse.

This assistance aligned with RB’s core values and its ‘Ikhlas From The Heart’ service philosophy, which will be officially launched on November 18 to commemorate the airline’s 50th anniversary.

Over the past five decades, RB has been a vital bridge connecting Brunei to the world and has demonstrated its commitment to the community by providing support in times of need.

Arabella Gilvanni’s journey is just one example of how RB has extended a helping hand to those in crisis.

The ‘Ikhlas From The Heart’ philosophy embodies RB’s dedication to compassion and care.

Throughout its history, the airline has assisted countless individuals and families, offering transportation for medical emergencies, humanitarian missions and community welfare programmes.

These efforts underscore RB’s promise to serve with sincerity and make a positive impact on the lives of its passengers and the community.

As RB celebrates its 50th anniversary, the airline remains committed to delivering exceptional service in the air and uplift the community on the ground.

The story of Arabella Gilvanni and her family is a reminder of the impact of kindness.

As RB continues its journey, it is driven by the belief that every act of compassion brings the community closer together. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
