JAKARTA (Bernama): Bobby Kertanegara, the beloved cat of Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto, has officially moved into the Presidential Palace on Monday.

A recent Instagram post on @bobbykertanegara offered followers heartwarming glimpses of the bond between Prabowo and Bobby, capturing sweet moments as they roamed the palace together, even in the midst of the president's hectic schedule.

In the video, Prabowo, who was inaugurated as Indonesia’s eighth president on Sunday, was seen tenderly stroking Bobby’s head while the cat lounged comfortably in a light brown stroller that proudly displayed his name.

The president affectionately asks, "Bobby, would you like to see your room?”, reflecting a tender bond he shares with his pet.

The adorable interaction has garnered significant attention on social media, resonating especially with animal lovers and cat enthusiasts across Indonesia.

The footage provides a charming glimpse into the personal life of the nation’s leader, a former military general, revealing a softer side alongside his official duties.

Another video features the brown-and-white cat loyally accompanying Prabowo at his residence on Kertanegara Road in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

Media reported that Prabowo rescued Bobby, a short-haired breed, at his residence in Kertanegara, Southern Jakarta, back in 2017. - Bernama
