JAKARTA (Vietnam News/Antara): Indonesia’s West Java Regional Police is investigating a bomb threat during a graduation ceremony at Parahyangan Catholic University (Unpar) in Bandung.
The head of West Java Police Public Relations, Senior Commissioner Jules Abraham Abast, stated that the threat was spread in a terror letter flyer received by the campus ahead of the graduation ceremony on November 15-17, the Indonesian news agency Antara reported.
Jules said that the investigation is still ongoing. Police will dig deeper on the perpetrators who spread this terror..
Currently, the explosive ordnance disposal team (Jihandak) of the West Java Police has carried out sterilisation to ensure the security of the campus ahead of the graduation ceremony.
According to Jules, the police has not found any signs related to the bomb threat.
However, 100 police officers have been deployed to ensure security during the graduation ceremony at the university.
