Brunei, Malaysia foster education ties

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Romaizah Mohd Salleh on Wednesday (Nov 27) received a courtesy call from Malaysian Minister of Education Fadhlina Sidek at a hotel in Gadong.

As part of her Asean Visit 2024, the Malaysian minister arrived in Bandar Seri Begawan for a one-day working visit to discuss key educational matters and explore opportunities to further enhance efforts in the development of the Malay Language.

The Malaysian minister also toured several educational institutions, including the Brunei Darussalam Leadership and Teacher Academy (BDLTA), the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) School of Aviation (SSRC Branch), as well as the Language and Literature Bureau at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Both sides expressed hope for continued collaboration, particularly in advancing educational initiatives, enhancing the Malay language and fostering closer ties between the two countries in the field of education. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
