CELEBRATED Indian music director, singer, and actor GV Prakash is all excited about his first overseas after more than a decade of success in Kollywood.
Prakash has promised his overseas concert which is happening in Bukit Jalil on Saturday (Dec 7) will be just as happening and entertaining as his last concert in Coimbatore last year which saw a sell-out of more than 75,000 tickets.
The venue in Bukit Jalil is smaller but almost 12,000 fans can except the intensity just as high as the concert in Coimbatore.
"I'm so excited about coming to Malaysia. It is my first concert outside India and I aim to impress all. It is going to be a wild party, I promise my fans," said GV Prakash, who also happens to be the nephew of Indian music legend AR Rahman.
In a posting in Instagram, Prakash said on Tuesday: "Come on and join me in this special event. It is a going to be a party you are not going to forget for a long time.
"I thank the organisers DMY for getting up this trip. I take this opportunity to thank the organisers and also the support I have received from the Malaysian fabs."
Taking place on Saturday at the Bukit Jalil National Hockey Stadium, 'GV Prakash -Live in Malaysia: A Celebration of Life' will bring together an epic roster of talents, making it one of the most highly anticipated Tamil music events of the year.
Also the final major concert to be held in Malaysia, Prakash has chosen Malaysia as the venue and for his Malaysian fans, it's an exciting opportunity to witness the musical genius live on stage, delivering an electrifying show filled with his iconic hits and star-studded collaborations.
The composer, actor, and music producer has earned a reputation for creating magic, with his music featured in nearly 100 Tamil and South Indian films.
Following a hiatus to focus on his acting career, his return to the stage has been epic, and recent hits like Amaran and Lucky Baskhar have reignited his musical genius, and fans are eagerly awaiting his live performance.
The night will showcase an impressive line-up of renowned Tamil music stars.
Joining him on stage is none other than his ex-wife, Saindhavi, along with top-tier singers from Tamil Nadu, including Haricharan, Tippu, Diwakar, Anand Aravindakshan, Anthony Dasan, Haripriya, Nithyashree and Stefany Vatz.
Hricharan and Tippu, are also well known as super stars of the music having sang songs in many top Tamil movies for almost the last two decades.
The show will also have a local flavour that will feature local legends Yogi B, the godfather of Malaysian hip-hop, and the rising star Arulini Ashwiinaa, who recently made waves with her incredible performance on India’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Seniors.
Arulini, 22, made the country proud with her powerful run on the fourth season of the reality singing television show, where she was selected after auditioning in Kuala Lumpur.
With her consistent performances and ability to wow the judges, Arulini made it to the last round before the grand finale, proving herself as a formidable talent.
At the heart of this event is DMY Creations, known for setting the bar high in Malaysia’s entertainment scene. Born into a musically inclined family with his uncle AR Rahman being a major influence, he made his debut as a composer in 2006 with Veyil and gained recognition for his work on the hit soundtrack of Aadukalam in 2011.
Apart from music, he ventured into acting in 2015 with Darling, where he was also praised for his performance.
Known for his versatility, GV Prakash blends traditional Tamil music with contemporary sounds, creating hit tracks for films like Ratsasan and Jai Bhim. His unique dual career as both a composer and actor, also has impressed many in the entertainment circle.
