Cambodia elected as member of Organisational Committee of UN Peacebuilding Commission


PHNOM PENH (Xinhua): Cambodia has been elected as a member of the Organisational Committee of the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission for the 2025-2026 term, said a press release from the country's ministry of foreign affairs on Saturday.

The election was held during the 54th Plenary Meeting of the U.N. General Assembly on Dec. 19 in New York, the press release said.

The Peacebuilding Commission (PBC) is an advisory body to the United Nations assisting countries transitioning from conflict to peace. - Xinhua
