It's going to be a wet Christmas in the Philippines

MANILA: Heavy to intense rains will prevail in several areas in Luzon and Visayas on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day due to the shear line, the state weather bureau said on Tuesday (Dec 24).

This is the forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) at 5am on Tuesday.

The weather agency said the shear line, or the convergence of warm and cold winds, will bring heavy to intense rainfall in Quezon, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte and Northern Samar on Christmas Eve.

Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Quezon and Aurora will also experience heavy to intense rainfall on Christmas Day. - Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN
