North Korea fires ballistic missile into East Sea , say South Korean military


ISTANBUL (Bernama-AA): North Korea has fired an unidentified ballistic missile into the East Sea, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said Monday, Anadolu Agency (AA) reported.

The JCS is currently analysing details such as the missile’s type, trajectory and flight distance, the Korea JoongAng Daily reported.

This marks North Korea's first ballistic missile launch of the year.

The launch occurred roughly two weeks before United States (US) President-elect Donald Trump takes office on Jan 20. - Bernama-AA
