LOCAL hip hop sensation Amir Hasan continues to make waves in the local music scene with his latest offering, “Pelangi”, which has been chosen as the official soundtrack (OST) for TV3's drama series “Cikgu Diva”, airing in the Lestary slot.
Following the success of his recent release single “Manis”, Amir remains committed to his craft as both a singer and songwriter, consistently pushing the boundaries of creativitythrough his diverse musical compositions.

“The song reflects the journey of a couple discovering the true meaning of love. It’s inspired by both personal experiences and imagination, with the hope that it will resonate with listeners and evoke heartfelt emotions,” Amir explained.
“Pelangi” is the result of a collaboration between Amir, who co-produced the track, madebyartin, who handled the music arrangement, and SHR, who contributed to the lyrics.
The fusion of R&B, pop and rap genres give the song a fresh sound that appeals to contemporary audiences.
“I strive to bring something new with every song I create. With ‘Pelangi’, I wanted to craft an emotional yet easy-going track that still carries significant meaning,” Amir added.

Although “Pelangi” was completed early in 2024, it wasn’t until it garnered interest from the production team behind “Cikgu Diva” that Amir and his creative team spent an additional month refining the lyrics and melody to better align with the drama’s theme.
“This refining process was crucial to ensure that the song seamlessly complements the storyline of the drama, while remaining relevant and impactful for the audience,” Amir shared.
“I believe ‘Pelangi’ will enhance the viewer experience and bring added depth to the series.”
