Myanmar receives only over 1.06 million foreign tourists in 2024, much lower than seen in 2023


YANGON (Xinhua): Myanmar welcomed over 1.06 million foreign tourists in 2024, an official from the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism told Xinhua on Friday.

The number of foreign tourists was lower compared to over 1.28 million foreign tourists who visited the country in 2023, the official said.

Primary sources of foreign visitors to Myanmar are China, Thailand and South Korea, the official added. - Xinhua
