THE administrator of the estate of the late Tan Sri Yahaya Ahmad and son has asked Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Albukhary to step aside from bidding for the estate's 15.8% stake in DRB-Hicom Bhd

“We admire and respect the noble intentions of the consortium led by Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin SM Amin and Syed Mokhtar to safeguard the interest and welfare of anak yatim piatu, which we were told is one of their important reasons for the proposed purchase of the DRB-HICOM shares from the estate,'' said Ahmad Othman Yahaya in a statement last night.
