THE share price of shipping group Malaysian Bulk Carriers Bhd (Maybulk) rose 3 sen yesterday to close at RM2.60, its highest since April, with 2.25 million shares traded, after it announced a strong set of results for the third quarter ended Sept 30.
Maybulk's pre-tax profit jumped 77.8% to RM48.2mil, compared with RM27.1mil in the corresponding quarter of 2003, while revenue rose 68.9% to RM84.6mil from RM50.1mil before.
