Hutchinson Whampoa to invest US$150m in COSCO


HONG KONG: Hutchinson Whampoa Ltd, the flagship of Hong Kong’s richest man Li Ka-shing, will invest US$150mil to buy up to 4% of China COSCO Holdings Co. Ltd, the country’s biggest container shipping firm which is seeking a listing in Hong Kong. 

“Hutchison will through two subsidiaries each buy US$75mil worth of shares in China COSCO,” a Hutchison spokeswoman said. “They will buy up to 4% of China COSCO.”
