KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Rubber Board’s (MRB) proposal to revise the Standard Malaysian Rubber (SMR) scheme could result in less than five SMR rubber grades being traded and exported in the world market instead of nine currently.
The proposed new SMR grades are: a combination of the current SMR 20 and SMR 10, a combination of SMR 10CV and SMR 20CV, SMR CV70, SMR Super X and SMR Super XCV.
