Belgium manufacturers seek furniture from Asean

KUALA LUMPUR: The Belgian Furniture Manufacturers Association said it is considering buying furniture from Asean countries amid rising labour costs in China.

Bernard Deheegher, director of the association’s export promotion division BelgoFurn, which represents 90% of Belgian furniture industry players, said manufacturers in Belgium were looking to buy furniture from Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Singapore.
