Rising ringgit advantage, AirAsia X welcomes it

Azran:

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia X Bhd (AAX) says the strengthening ringgit is positive for its business as most of its costs are denominated in US dollars.

“A significant portion of our costs of around 65% are in US dollars. Our revenues are in ringgit. If the ringgit weakens, our costs will go up but if it strengthens then this position is reversed,” its CEO Azran Osman-Rani said on the sidelines of the launch of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ report on The State of Integrated Reporting in Malaysia here yesterday.
