Export duty exemption for CPO from September to October


KUALA LUMPUR: Exporters of crude palm oil (CPO) have been exempted from export duty efffective Sept 1, said Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

The export duty exemption on CPO would be from September to October as part of the Government’s efforts to mitigate declining CPO prices, he told a press briefing prior to attending the Palm Oil Industry Leadership Award dinner hosted by the Malaysian Palm Oil Council yesterday.
