PETALING JAYA: The norm is when oil trends down, the prices of oil and gas (O&G) assets such as exploration fields or rigs tend to also decline.
However, the drop in international oil prices has not made it any easier for special-purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) to acquire the qualifying assets required under the Securities Commission’s (SC) guidelines for them to become full-fledged operating companies.
