KUALA LUMPUR: Fund selling wiped out nearly 20 points from the FBM KLCI on Thursday but of greater concern to investors was the very weak breadth of the market with 1,001 counters in the red at the close.
At 5pm, the KLCI was down 19.07 points or 1.07% to 1,767.77. Turnover was 2.55 billion shares valued at RM2.68bil. Declining counters hammered advancers 1,001 to 64 or 15.6 to one.
