China Automobile, SRI Elastomers sign MoU on tyre recycling

KUALA LUMPUR: Main Market-listed China Automobile Parts Holdings Ltd (CAP) has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with SRI Elastomers Sdn Bhd to build a production facility for tyre recycling in Xiamen City, Fujian Province, China.

The planned facility will recycle “end of life” tyres and other processed rubber scrap using SRI’s proprietary devulcanisation process and technology into a rubber compound to be utilised in the production of new value-added rubber products.
