Petronas Chemicals, Maybank top gainers as KLCI advance 16pt


KUALA LUMPUR: Fund buying of Petronas Chemicals, Maybank and KL Kepong underpinned the FBM KLCI’s rebound on Friday while sentiment was also supported by the stronger ringgit.

At the close, the KLCI was up 16.50 points or 0.89% to 1,862.58. Turnover was 2.10 billion shares valued at RM2bil. There were 393 gainers, 445 losers and 341 counters unchanged. Year-to-date, the KLCI is up 5.54%.
