PETALING JAYA: Telecommunications firm Maxis Bhd’s successful transformation is bearing fruit, with revenue for the first quarter ended March 31 inching up to RM2.15bil from RM2.12bil a year ago.

However, net profit declined 15.3% to RM410mil in the quarter under review compared with a year earlier, mainly due to higher accelerated depreciation charges of RM57mil related to its network modernisation programme.
