KUALA LUMPUR: My EG Services Bhd (MyEG), which began online renewal of temporary employment permits for foreign workers (PLKS) in May 2015, has been appointed to provide the service until May 2020 under a five-year contract valued at RM553.85mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the e-Government services provider said it had on Thursday received a letter of acceptance from the Home Affairs Ministry to offer the PLKS online renewal service for the Immigration Department for the period from May 23, 2015, to May 22, 2020.

MyEG said an agreement to formalise the acceptance of the project would be signed and announced by the company in due course.

“The board of directors is of the view that the project is in the best interest of the company and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the company for the financial years ending June 30, 2017, onwards,” it said.
