KUALA LUMPUR: Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadanankan) or KWAP has disposed more than 9.3 million Malakoff Corp Bhd shares this month.
According to filings with Bursa Malaysia, KWAP has been selling shares in the independent power producer (IPP) with the latest disposal on June 23 for 1.315 million shares.
Following the latest disposal, KWAP’s shareholding in Malakoff has been reduced to 8.145%, or 407.28 million shares.
The fund sold 1.751 million shares in Malakoff on June 15, 80,000 shares on June 19 and another 2.479 million shares on June 20. Earlier, it sold 500,000 shares on June 8 and a day later it sold 2.488 million shares.
Last week, Malakoff’s managing director Datuk Wira Azhar Abdul Hamid resigned from his post effective June 30, citing personal and professional reasons.
Executive vice-president of operations Habib Husin has been appointed as acting chief executive officer from next month.
