Seacera set to bag RM250mil PR1MA construction deal

KUALA LUMPUR: Seacera Group Bhd’s subsidiary Spaz Sdn Bhd has received a letter of intent from Wearegold Sdn Bhd to award it a RM250mil project to build 1Malaysia People’s Housing Programme (PR1MA) units in Rembau, Negri Sembilan.

The tile maker, which diversified into construction three years ago, said in a statement to Bursa Malaysia that the project involved building 1,572 units of single- and double-storey terraced houses.

The project was to be completed within 30 months, it added.

Seacera said the contract, if awarded, was expected to contribute positively towards its earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2018, it added.
