Robert Tan sells his 51% stake in Goh Ban Huat for RM145m


KUALA LUMPUR: Low-profile tycoon Tan Sri Robert Tan Hua Choon has sold his 51% stake in ceramic products company Goh Ban Huat Bhd at RM1.40 per share to Paragon Adventure Sdn Bhd. 

GBH said on Wednesday the company had received the notice from Maybank Investment Bank Bhd, acting on behalf of Paragon which are controlled by Datuk Seri Edwin Tan Pei Seng and Datuk Seri Godwin Tan Pei Poh.

Paragon Adventure had acquired the 51% stake or 95.18 million shares at RM1.40 each or three sen below Tuesday's closing price, triggering a mandatory takeover offer. 

It also bought 31.32 million warrants 2010/2020 or 51% of the outstanding warrants from him at 40 sen or six sen below Tuesday's close of 46 sen.

The total consideration for the shares and warrants from Robert Tan totalled RM145.71mil.
