Bursa Securities okays VS Industry bonus shares plan


In its filing to the stock exchange, the group said its Malaysia segment posted a 13.2% increase in revenue in the current quarter, mainly due to higher sales orders from key MNC customers, which offset the decline in revenue from a major US customer.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has approved VS Industry Bhd's proposed bonus shares, warrants and new shares to be issued arising from the conversion of the warrants.

It said on Thursday the approval was for up to 397.46 million bonus shares, 46.29 million additional warrants-A and up to 46.29 million new shares to be issued arising from the conversion.

The bonus issue will be on the basis of one new share for every four held on an entitlement date to be determined and announced later.

VS is a leading integrated electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider in the region. It also undertake the manufacturing needs of global brand names for office and household electrical and electronic products.
