MyEG tumbles, PDT and IDSS suspended again


UOB Kay Hian Malaysia Research believes that MyEG Services stands to be the sole beneficiary of e-bidding for the vehicle plates.

KUALA LUMPUR: The proprietary day trading (PDT) and intra-day short selling (IDSS) for MyEG Services Bhd were suspended early Thursday after its share price fell more than the designated level.

At 9.31, it had fall 15.5 sen to a fresh low of 76 sen. It was actively traded with 51.60 million shares done.

The FBM KLCI tumbled 30.56 points or 1.69% to 1,773.69. Turnover was 532.34 million shares valued at RM403.66mil. Decliners overwhelmed advancers 563 to 67 while 190 counters were unchanged.

Bursa Malaysia Securities said the PDT and IDSS were suspended for the rest of the day after the share price fell more than 15 sen or 15%.

The regulator said the PDT and IDSS activities would only be enabled on Friday at 08.30am.

MyEG, a government e-services provider has been battered since last week after it was linked to the previous ruling administration.
