KWAP CEO to deliver keynote address at Asia Asset Management event

KUALA LUMPUR: The chief executive officer of Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) or the Retirement Fund (Incorporated) Datuk Wan Kamaruzaman Wan Ahmad will deliver the keynote address at Asia Asset Management’s 8th Annual Malaysia Roundtable on Thursday. 

According to Asia Asset Management, a Hong Kong-based trade journal, the one-day event is entitled “Global pensions and investments: The impact of fintech and the emerging landscape”.

Wan Kamaruzaman will speak on the topic of “Sustainable Investing and the Rise of Fintech” at the one-day event, which will be held at the Mandarin Oriental.

It will bring together more than 100 participants, including attendees from China, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

Among the five panel sessions, one will focus on enhancing retirement savings and investments. 

The speakers include the head of the economics and capital markets department at the Employees Provident Fund, Nushisham Hussein; practice professor of finance, director, Centre for Asset Management Research and Investments, NUS Business School Professor Joseph Cherian; ELM Graduate School, HELP University Associate Professor Dr Chung Tin Fah; and partners and strategic research leader, Mercer, Garry Hawker.

A panel on fintech panel will discuss implications for the finance industry.

In the afternoon, a panel will address Islamic and sustainable investing in the context of the current investment regime.
