Globetronics Q2 net profit lower


In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the Penang-based equipment and sensor manufacturer said the decline in its bottomline and topline were because of lower sales for products related to mobile and smartphone market as well as the phasing out of certain products of a Japanese customer.

PETALING JAYA: Globetronics Technology Bhd’s net profit fell 12.8% to RM8.14mil in the second quarter from RM9.34mil a year earlier on the back of a 34% drop in revenue to RM47.05mil compared to RM71.5mil previously.
