Indonesia industry ministry plans to use more palm oil domestically

JAKARTA: Indonesia's is preparing a roadmap to expand the downstream industry forpalm oil by 2024 to absorb potential oversupply of the vegetable oil, a senior official at the country's Ministry of Industry said on Thursday.

The Indonesia palm oil association (GAPKI) estimates output of palm and palm kernel oilfrom the world's top exporter will rise to around 50 million tonnes this year and to 60 million tonnes by 2025.
