Office space glut in Malaysia worsens


Foo: Klang Valley’s office sector continues to bear the pressure on the rental rate.

PETALING JAYA: Excess supply of office space in the Klang Valley continues unabated, with vacancy rates deteriorating further in the first quarter of 2019.

According to the Valuation and Property Services Department (JPPH), the average rate of unoccupied office space in the region stood at 23.5% in the first quarter of 2019, compared with 22.6% in the first quarter of 2018.
