GD Express working on regional expansion

GD Express Teong Teck

PETALING JAYA: While GD Express Carrier Bhd (GDex) may be facing increasing competition and margin compression in Malaysia, it is working on expanding its operation around the region, starting from its venture into Indonesia.

Since forking out RM26mil for a 44.5% stake in PT Satria Antara Prima Tbk (SAP Express) at the latter’s initial public offering (IPO) last October, GDex’s stake in that company is now worth around RM75mil.
