Maybank IB Research positive on YTL REIT over RM1b asset injection


YTL Corp intends to inject its UK hotels worth over RM1bil into YTL REIT next year (YTL REIT’s end FY19 total asset value was RM4.856bil). YTL Corp’s unit YTL Hotels & Properties Sdn Bhd, currently owns and operates five luxury hotels across the UK.

KUALA LUMPUR: Maybank Investment Bank Research is generally positive on the plan by YTL REIT parent’s YTL Corp to inject over RM1bil worth of UK hotels into YTL REIT’s portfolio, this was notwithstanding some potential gearing-related roadblocks.

It said on Wednesday it maintained its earnings forecasts and dividend discount model target price of RM1.50.
