Multiple bidders for 5G

CYBERJAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) expects multiple bidders, including foreign companies, to be part of the consortium that would build a 5G network.

The foreign players, however, would be subject to licencing requirements and foreign shareholding rules of this country. The limit on foreign shareholding in the telecommunication sector is 49%.
