Bursa Malaysia, global markets awash in red


KUALA LUMPUR: It was a sea of red on Bursa Malaysia in the morning trading session, with losers outpacing gainers, as tensions flared up in the Middle East after Iran fired missiles at U.S. forces in Iraq.

At midday, the benchmark FBM KLCI slipped below the flat line, tumbling 16.18 points to 1,594.86 points. The index opened 6.9 points lower before falling 21.39 points within minutes of trading.
