Abdul Wahid to take over as Bursa Malaysia chairman on May 1


Bursa Malaysia said Abdul Wahid has extensive corporate experience, having led major organisations in the areas of infrastructure development, telecommunications, financial services and investment management.

PETALING JAYA: Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar returns to the corporate world with his appointment as Bursa Malaysia Bhd’s non-executive chairman with effect from May 1.

In a statement yesterday, Bursa said Abdul Wahid was appointed by Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, pursuant to Sections 10(1)(a) and (3) of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007.
