Quick take: Supermax shares hit more than 10-year high


KUALA LUMPUR: Shares in Supermax Corp Bhd surged to its highest in at least ten years after reporting that its net profit doubled in the third quarter ended March 31 amid overwhelming glove demand.

The glovemaker jumped 14.60%, or 67 sen to RM5.26, making it the top gainer on Bursa Malaysia, with 11.7 million shares traded. It is currently trading at a PE ratio of 49 times.
