Competition for pharmaceutical government contracts rises


According to UOBKH, Duopharma’s management had said before that it would like to maintain earnings contribution from the government by winning a larger slice of the Health Ministry’s (MoH) contracts at lower margins

PETALING JAYA: Competition for government contracts among generic producers will be heightened even as the deadline for tenders by the end of the year draws near, says UOB Kay Hian Research (UOBKH).

“We gather that Pharmaniaga Bhd is ready to tender for 25 additional and new products. Tenders had historically ranged between RM40mil and RM60mil per tender, ” it said.
