Short selling ban extended until year-end 


KUALA LUMPUR: The temporary suspension of short selling of shares on Bursa Malaysia has been further extended until Dec 31, the Securities Commission and Bursa Malaysia Bhd said in a joint statement today.

The scope of the suspension remained the same.

This means activities including Intraday Short Selling (IDSS) and Regulated Short Selling (RSS), as well as intraday short selling by Proprietary Day Traders remained suspended.
