Comfort Gloves Q2 net profit jumps six-fold

Comfort Gloves said the increased emphasis on hygiene and sanitation due to the pandemic has led to an increased demand for the group’s specialty premium gloves.

PETALING JAYA: Comfort Gloves Bhd saw its net profit for its second quarter ended July 31 jump six-fold or 501% to RM42.80mil from RM7.12mil in the previous corresponding period, driven by higher sales volume with significant higher average selling prices and better economies of scale.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the company said revenue in the second quarter jumped to RM197.95mil compared with RM117.64mil in the previous corresponding period.
