MRO unit may add RM1bil to AirAsia earnings


MIDF Research said in a report it was a good move to set up the a centralised and independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) unitas it would add topline potential of RM1bil a year.

PETALING JAYA: The setting up of a centralised and independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) unit by AirAsia Group Bhd could potentially bring in revenue of about RM1bil a year.

MIDF Research said in a report it was a good move to set up the unit as it would add topline potential of RM1bil a year.

This was based on the size of the previous operating expenditure (opex) incurred by the group for its maintenance and repair segment.
