Survey: SMEs need support to stay afloat

SMEs are still facing challenges with their cash flows and noted several programmes which would help them include targeted loans and an extension of the wage subsidy scheme for those who need it.

PETALING JAYA: With the economy expected to remain fragile for the remaining part of the year, SMEs will need supportive policies to stay afloat.

The latest RAM Business Confidence Survey showed that businesses remain pessimistic about the next three months as the overall RAM Business Confidence Index (BCI) for the third quarter (3Q) of 2020 hit a low of 33.7.
