Largest floating solar plant ready


The solar plant was built for WD Solar Sdn Bhd, which is part of the WD Group whose principal activities are in the sand mining and transport sector. In a statement, Solarvest said 38,790 solar panels were installed on a panel of floaters.

PETALING JAYA: Solar photovoltaic (PV) system specialist Solarvest Holdings Bhd has commissioned the country’s largest floating solar plant, the group’s ninth large scale solar (LSS) project.

The 13MWp solar power facility, which was built on a former mining lake in Dengkil, Selangor, spans about 53ha or the size of 30 football fields.
