Subdued start to 2021 for Bursa as gloves weigh


KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia started the new year of 2021 on a subdued note, with selling pressure seen in glove makers Hartalega, Supermax and Top Glove which are part of the 30-stock FBM KLCI.

At 9.10am, the KLCI was down 8.79 points or 0.54% to 1,618.42. Turnover was 532.37 million shares valued at RM250.98mil. There were 231 gainers, 371 losers and 306 counters unchanged.
