KUALA LUMPUR: The global semiconductor industry is on track to record a rare three consecutive years of record highs in fabrication equipment spending, the Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturers Industry (SEMI) says.

It said on Wednesday the increased investments in the fab equipment would be fuelled by surging pandemic-inspired demand for electronics devices.
