MPRC expects OGSE industry to rebound this year

Mohd Yazid Ja’afar

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's oil and gas services and equipment (OGSE) industry is likely to see a rebound in 2021 after a setback in the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the swing in oil and gas prices on the back of increased production by shale producers in the United States.

Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corp (MPRC) president and chief executive officer Mohd Yazid Ja'afar said the recovery would be mainly driven by the rollout of the vaccination programmes globally and the opening of international borders.
