PETALING JAYA: Proton Holdings Bhd sold 9,440 cars in May, a reduction of 37.1% compared with April, although its international sales division recorded its best month since March 2013.

In a statement, the car maker said its overseas sales efforts continued to gain momentum despite international markets going through varying degrees of the movement control orders (MCOs).
