American Airlines climbs on travel rebound

NEW YORK: American Airlines Group Inc jumped after signalling that a US travel industry rebound is bolstering its financial results more quickly than expected.

Cash generation averaged about US$1mil (RM4.19mil) a day during the second quarter, a first for the carrier since the start of the pandemic when it was burning about US$100mil (RM419.8mil) daily, American said.
